Edmund House Guest House All about Deal, Kent

Deal is an absolute gem on the south east Kent coast. A fantastic location for a weekend away, short break or family holiday.

We have great golf on our doorstep, here on the Royal Golf Coast. (We look after golfers very well at Edmund House Guest House!). Fowlmead Country Park is great for cycling, walking and birdwatching (we can even lend you a bike!).

Eating out in Deal is a delight - modern cuisine, seafood, South African, English, Italian, oysters and champagne, great pub food - we've got it all!

There's lots going on and plenty to do.

The live music scene is excellent, with many local talented musicians as well as visiting artists. Our annual Music Festival in July has been established for over 20 years. The Carnival and Regatta go back even longer and the Maritime Festival takes place in September.

Families have a great time in Deal. Deal Castle is right on our doorstep and Walmer Castle a 20 minute stroll along the beautiful seafront.

Walmer Paddling Pool is free. Let the kids splash around safely while the grown-ups relax on a deck chair with a good book!

Tides Leisure Centre - one minute from Edmund House Guest House - has a leisure pool, exercise classes, gym and tennis courts.

We have sailing, swimming and fishing from our lovely shingle beach and pier. If you time it right, you can take a boat out to the Goodwin Sands where over a thousand shipwrecks lie buried just off the Deal coast. A beautiful and memorable experience.

All this and more, and we're just 80 miles form London, 7 miles from Dover, 15 miles from Canterbury and 20 miles from Calais!
